Photographs by the artist
Stacie Chappell is a regional northwest artist and educator with over 20 years in higher education.
Chappell’s painting represents a complex composition of paint pouring, mixing, and pooling, reacting to physical interactions of fabric dyes, inks, acrylics and oils. Bold forms and gestures are present as a result of the creative process, and engage the viewer in a color induced sensory experience. Chappell uses the universal languages of color, shape, texture and space to engage with the viewer on a purely instinctual level. .
She is represented by Gallery IMA in Seattle, WA and lives in Boise Idaho. The artist’s work resides in private and public collections, such as The City of Seattle and Jackson Jet Center.
